GEX-Metrix (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates gexmetrix.com, a free options analytics dashboard. Contact: [email protected].
2. Data We Collect
- Account data (registered users): email address, subscription tier, registration date.
- Usage data: IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time on site, referring URL, device type. Collected via Google Analytics.
- Cookie data: see Section 4 below.
- We do not collect financial data, payment details, or personally sensitive information beyond email.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
- Contract: processing your email to provide your account and subscription.
- Legitimate interest: site security, fraud prevention, basic analytics for service improvement.
- Consent: advertising cookies and personalised analytics — only after you click “Accept All Cookies” on the consent banner.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use four categories of cookies:
- Essential: session management, authentication, CSRF protection. Always active; no consent required.
- Preferences: remember your chart settings, instrument selections, and theme. Always active.
- Analytics: Google Analytics (GA4) — aggregate, anonymised usage statistics. Requires consent.
- Advertising: Google AdSense / DoubleClick — serve and personalise advertisements. Requires consent.

6. How We Use Your Data
- Provide and maintain the dashboard and user accounts.
- Send transactional emails (account creation, password reset, subscription notices).
- Improve the service via anonymised usage analytics.
- Display advertisements to fund the free tier.
- Comply with legal obligations.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Google LLC — analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (AdSense / DoubleClick). Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — CDN, DDoS protection, and serverless infrastructure. Acts as a data processor.
- Law enforcement if required by applicable law.
8. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active, then deleted within 30 days of closure.
- Analytics data: retained for 13 months in Google Analytics (standard setting).
- Options market data: retained per our R2 storage policy (max 31 days of snapshots).
9. Your Rights (EU / EEA — GDPR)
You have the right to: access, rectify, erase (“right to be forgotten”), restrict, port your data, and to object to processing. You can also withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or contacting us.

10. California Residents (CCPA)
California residents may request disclosure of personal information collected, request deletion, or opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information. Contact [email protected] to exercise your rights.
11. Children’s Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
